Join us for an authentic and educational cooking experience that is rich in both culture and cuisine! This is a hands-on cooking class led by refugees & immigrants living in Concord. ONLY 12 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD FOR EACH CLASS.

About the Event
The Sycamore Community Garden is holding our second Hands-on International Cooking Class!
This fundraiser is limited to 12 participants.
Learn to prepare an authentic, typical Somali meal directly from Batulo, a refugee whose family has recently been resettled in Concord after leaving her home in Somalia.
We will gather as a group to learn and help with the preparation; followed by eating this delicious dinner together and have great conversations!
MENU:
- Sambusa: Meat Pies + Vegan Pies (your choice)
- Spiced Tea
- Soor (porridge-like dish made from maize flour, butter and water)
- Soup
- Shortbread Cookies
TEACHER: Batulo
Proceeds from the evening will go directly to support the teachers & his/her family during their transition to life in America, as well as Sycamore Community Garden.
