The Sycamore Community Garden is holding our second Hands-on International Cooking Class on Tuesday, April 10 from 6 PM-9 PM at the Concord UU Church. This fundraiser is limited to 12 participants. Under the direction of a Somali refugee cook, you will make Spiced Tea and Meat Pies/Vegetarian Pies (your choice). The cook will share information about Somali cooking and her culture and you'll all sit down and enjoy your creations, plus Soor (cornmeal based staple food) and a soup, plus shortbread cookies, plus conversation.
